What to do After BBA Course except MBA Course

Nowadays, many students take up BBA course after their higher secondary mainly with a view to do MBA after completing BBA. Most of the career counselors also suggest MBA after completing BBA. But, some students have a doubt as to what to do after BBA other than going for MBA. Some of the suggestions for these students are given below:

• After completing BBA, the candidates can join as executive trainee/management trainee in any of the following sectors:
• Advertising agencies: Example- Leo Burnett, Mudra, etc…
• Banking, finance, consultancy: Example – HSBC, Citibank, etc…
• IT companies: Example – Compaq, Wipro, etc…
• Consumer durable companies and FMCG: Example – Marico, P&G, etc…
• The candidates can also do some professional courses like ICWAI, CA, etc…
• The candidates can do master degree courses like MCA.
• The candidates can take up part-time jobs and they can do some computer courses in the spare time. If they feel that their English communication skills is not good, they can go for some English speaking courses, which will be of great help to their future.
• The BBA graduates can get jobs in different sectors like human resources, accounting, finance, information systems, real estate entrepreneurship, etc… and the choice is endless.
• If the candidates can develop good programming skills, they will be able to get placement in multinational companies.
• If the candidates are interested in getting into government services, they can take up UPSC examinations like civil service examination, National Defense Academy examination, etc…
• If they are interested in bank jobs, they can take up bank examinations as well.

So, there is a wide range of opportunities left to the candidates after completing the BBA degree course and they can either opt for job or higher studies or even both by doing part- time jobs or by taking up correspondence courses.

Which is best BBA or BCA

BBA stands for Bachelor of Business Administration and BCA stands for Bachelor of Computer Application. Most of the students have to doubt whether to do BBA or BCA, after completing higher secondary education. Students can take up BBA in case they have commerce background and BCA in case they have science background. Even students with science background can do BBA, but BCA would be easier for them as compared to BBA. Some of the features about these two courses are given below:

BBA:

BBA graduates can start their career in different sectors like finance, HR, marketing, consultancy, banking, etc… Students will be able to get entrepreneurship skills by doing BBA course. The students are geared up to explore opportunities being created in the profession of management and administration. BBA graduates will have bright future prospects and they will be able to rise quickly in position and salary as well.

BCA:

BCA graduates can begin their career in IT industry as Junior Programmer and can get promoted as senior project managers and senior programmers. The students will be able to get a strong academic base with the help of which they can get advanced career in computer application by doing the BCA degree. Wipro Technologies offers a great earn while learn program called WASE for BCA students, which will provide not only PG degree from BITS, but also work experience.

Comparison between BBA and BCA:

Both BBA and BCA graduates will be able to get better future prospects on completion of the master’s degree MBA and MCA respectively. As far as pay scale is concerned since the BCA graduates can get placement in software industry, they will be able to get a higher pay rate as compared to BBA graduates. But, it is better not to see a degree just from salary point of view; the students can choose any of these degrees based on their interest.
